Unmarked except for the name Chinese Game on the outside of the box, I am sure this is another promotional set. The designs on this set are identical to other sets and very similar to Milton Bradley sets. The only difference between Milton Bradley and this set
is the size of the dots in the dot suit. You might see that a corner of the label is torn, (lower right), and there is another label under it. I believe this label is for Pah Jong, yet another example of many promotional sets It would be nice to know if Milton Bradley was selling these or if Milton Bradley bought from the same factory in China. ---- maybe we will never know.
The tiles are wood, the face is painted an then the designs are stamped on. There are numerous colored wooden sticks for betting, a pair of wood dice and a couple of rule sheets. In one of these promotional sets the exact same sheet is rubber stamped another name.
The tiles measure 1 3/16" x 13/16" x 5/16". The box measures 7 7/8" x 5 1/4" x 2 7/8". The sheets measure 7 1/2" x 5 1/4 ", 4 pages. |
