The Hillson Company made several sets, this one is wood with a French Ivory face. I like the quality of sets from the Hillson Company, even the boxes are a bit heavier
construction. This one is heavy cardboard covered with a type of oilcloth. There are five trays for tiles and the bottom tray holds all the nines as well as the celluloid sticks for betting.
This set has 144 tiles, numerous colored betting sticks, a French Ivory Mingg jar with French Ivory wind disks and a booklet. There is an embossed design on the top of the box that is just like the illustration on the front of the booklet, it's faded gold which is very, very hard to take a picture of, sorry.
The tiles measure 1 1/4" x 15/16" x 7/32", the designs are embossed and painted. The box measures 8 3/8" x 6 5/8" x 4 ". The booklet measures 7 " x 4 1/4" with 12 pages. |
