This is Hillson's set "Style K". Of the wooden sets this is the most elaborate. If you look at the picture of the tiles above you can see that they are little wooden blocks with the front cut in a concave design. There are little groves that allow a thin piece of French Ivory to slide into position. The backs of these tiles are painted with a green/white/gray paint that looks like granite or something. Very pretty set in excellent condition.

There is a design on the box in gold that is like the design on the booklet. The box is one of those heavy cardboard ones covered in oilcloth (described as five-till paper on the insert card). The insert card has a mistake on it, it says 114 tiles but should read 144. There is a French Ivory Mingg Jar with French Ivory wind disks, "fiberoid" betting sticks and a pair of dice. There is also a tiny piece of paper showing the color and count of the sticks.

The tiles measure 1 3/16" x 1 1/16 " x 7/16". The box measures 9 1/2" x 5 3/4" x 4 1/4". The book that belongs with a set like this measures 6 5/8" x 5 1/8", it has 8 pages.
