The is a nice little wood set with everything you need to have fun playing mah jong. This set is from Mah Jongg Sales Co. of America. As mentioned before, this company was bought out by Parker Bros. in the mid 20s, if you notice that on this box they have offices or stores in New York and Chicago as well as San Francisco. There seems to be quite a few of these sets out there, a good one for converting to modern rules by adding extras for jokers and using for a great travel set.

The box is cardboard, the tiles are wood with a thin layer on the face, it could be celluloid. The designs are painted on. There are large coins with this set for betting, and a pair of dice. I am not sure if you can see the dragons on the cover. Dragons are a very common theme on mah jong boxes, I love the variety.

The tiles measure 1 1/4" x 7/8" x 7/16", the box measures 10 1/2 " x 5 1/2" x 2 1/4". The booklet, a condensed version of Babcock's Rules, measure 6 1/8" x 4 3/8" and has 12 pages.
