Pung Chow is well known for their very distinctive 'black and white' Pyralin tiles. Many of you realize there are several sizes but maybe you didn't expect to see wood tiles. These are actually nice. This set is one that comes in a cardboard box with drawers. The tiles are wood with a celluloid face. The designs are lightly embossed and painted. The classy dragons and the flowers/seasons are a trademark of all Pung Chow sets .
This set has 144 tiles, numerous colored wooden sticks for betting, and a pair of dice. The little red booklet "Pung Chow in Ten Minutes" comes with every set. There is also a score card.
The tiles measure 1 3/16" x 7/8" x 7/16". The box measures 8 1/4" x 5 1/2" x 3 1/2". The book that belongs with a set like this measures 6 1/2" x 4 3/4", it has 32 pages and is copyright 1924 by L.L. Harr. |
