This set is another little surprise from a German toy maker who signs their work with Ankor. Have you seen the stone set? The little Chinese man also appears on the Golconda set.

There are 144 wood tiles, numerous little brightly colored plastic betting sticks, 4 wind tiles and a pair of black dice. The box is faux leather (embossed paper), and a flocked lining inside the box. The little ribbon in the corner of the lid says "F. Ad. Richter & Co AG". Although the celluloid is starting to change color, I do not believe that this set has ever been played with. The backs of the tiles are painted.

The tiles measure 1 3/16" x 7/8" x 3/8", these are probably made like puzzles, the designs are printed on Celluoid, glued to the wood and then cut. The box measures 12 1/2" x 8 1/2" x 1 1/2". The booklet that comes with the set is white with that wonderful fierce looking Chinese man boasting a great Fu Manchu mustache. There is also a single sheet of paper which shows the layout for the wall and other information -- all in German of course.
